Powder Springs Day Festival - Sat., Oct. 8, 2011

This Saturday, October 8, 2011 is Powder Springs Day here in Historic Downtown Powder Springs, GA. The Powder Springs Day parade will begin at 10 am and the festival will run from 10 am to 5 pm, with a live concert in the Town Square at 6 pm and a spectacular fireworks display after dark. Come down and treat you and your family to some yummy cupcakes and cookies and stay for all the fun and fireworks! We look forward to seeing you.

This Friday marks the beginning of Friday Night Lights for High School football. Pre-order your tailgating cupcakes now for your big game!! We are making custom cupcakes with matching school colors, topped with Jerseys and football numbers of your favorite players or children that play!

Next Saturday is the beginning of College Football weekends!! We have No. 5 Boise State vs. No. 19 Georgia. Check out our Facebook page for our collegiate tailgating cupcakes. Building Permit - Done!

So on April 19, 2011 we were finally able to obtain our building permit from the City of Powder Springs! :) Some things did not go as planned - but do they ever?? Bumps in the road became teachable moments where we had to learn quickly and get over the curve! So now we have jumped on the express train and it's full speed ahead! Next stop - Lily Torte Baking Company!

Delays in opening - Pre-orders for May 2011

Hello! It has been a while since we have written as we have had our busy little fingers working away on moving along the process of getting our cupcakery up and running! Well, as you may imagine, there have been some unexpected delays, nothing too terrible, but we are now going to take pre-orders for a mid-May opening. Please be assured, anyone that did place a pre-order for April will be contacted personally to discuss the details. We are really excited to open and will let you know about our progress, here on our blog. Please check back for updates!
